About Us

Zion Lutheran School in Alexandria, MN has been a cornerstone of academic excellence and Christian instruction for over 125 years, reaching students from pre-school through 8^th grade.  This education is not only for Zion members as over half of the students are outside of the Zion church body.  Many former graduates are foundational members and leaders in our Alexandria community and beyond. They are currently serving in our community as firemen, police officers, teachers, engineers, business owners, homemakers, and numerous other vital roles.

Zion's Annual School Gala and Auction includes an online auction the week leading up to the Gala event.  The Gala event holds a  live auction along with variations of entertainment and games and giveaways.  Dinner  is served, along with a cash bar.   We love our local community, and appreciate the generosity of all our sponsors, donors and businesses that support Zion Lutheran School!

As a nonprofit 503c Corporation, Zion relies on third source funding to keep tuition affordable and a viable option for anyone who seeks quality Christian education. Tuition covers about 1/3 of the cost to educate a child.  The congregation provides about 50% of the tuition cost in addition to the operation of the facility.  The remainder is provided by fundraising.  Please consider supporting the Gala by becoming a corporate sponsor and/or donating gift certificate(s), or merchandise or service for our silent/live auction, or attending the event!

The Gala is our major fundraiser of the year and we invite you to be a part of this important event. We will gladly pick up your donation or it can be mailed to the address below.
